Senior Center to Offer Karaoke, Blood Pressure Clinic, Petanque and More | Community events


OAKVILLE – The Falls Avenue Senior Center is located at 311 Falls Ave.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Bethlehem Wildlife and Conservation Club is offering a Good Friday Fish Dinner on Friday, April 15 from 4-7 p.m. at Memorial Hall on Main Street in Bethlehem.

The meal includes beer-battered cod, fried clam strips, fries, coleslaw, and dessert for an additional fee. Take-out meals are available. Those who want more information can consult the leaflet in the center.

The final session of the popular health series, “Caring for Yourself,” will be offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19. This month will focus on diabetes and its effects on the whole body. Registrations are requested.

A blood pressure clinic is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19.

Sandy Micalizzi from Waterbury Hospital will lead the screenings. Registrations are requested.

Join in all the karaoke fun at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 22. Music is therapy for everyone. Registrations are requested.
