Harvey Lister to join panel at EEAA World Exhibitions Day summit


The Australasia Exhibitions and Events Association announced that Harvey Lister, President and CEO of APAC and CEO of ASM Global (Asia-Pacific) will join the panel at the EEAA World Exhibitions Summit – a hybrid eventnd June and hosted by International Convention Center Sydney (ICC Sydney).

Lister, who recently won the Australian Event Awards 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award, brings nearly 50 years of experience in the entertainment, events, tourism and venues industry.

Lister has participated in the presentation of over 40,000 major events, including several Olympic and Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, other major sporting events, key meetings of international heads of state, major concerts and conferences.

Simon Burgess, Managing Director of Adelaide Convention Center, also joins the EEAA panel; Jane Ford, general manager of exhibitions and events Australia and New Zealand; Jimmy Busteed, Managing Director of Sales, Australian Turf Club, and Kym De Britt, Managing Director, Australian Dental Industry Association. Busteed has over 20 years of events and hospitality experience and led the Australian Turf Club sales team for five years.

De Britt will share his strategic and measured collaborative approach to COVID threats at large public gatherings.

World Exhibition Day (# GED2021) is an annual global campaign created by the World Association for the Exhibition Industry (UFI) to celebrate the power of exhibitions and events. This year’s message is “Exhibits are essential to rebuilding and restoring communities”.

The EEAA 2021 World Expo Day Summit will be a hybrid event, featuring renowned international and local guest speakers who will share their industry perspectives, lessons learned from COVIDSafe, changing customer dynamics and new ways to re-engage with exhibitors and visitors. .
