Located in Wynwood, one of Miami’s premier entertainment districts, The Brick is one of the area’s hottest nightclub environments. Guests enjoy a truly unique nightlife experience that includes hip-hop music by some of Miami’s top DJs. With an extensive menu in addition to its bottle service, patrons can celebrate into the wee hours of the morning in a way that truly captures the vibe of South Florida. To ensure the energy level is at peak performance, the venue has recently upgraded its sound capabilities with a newly installed sound system featuring components from DAS Audio’s E11EVEN Sound.

Willy-Tech Services of Miami, FL, which provides A/V system installation services, worked closely with John Fiorito of DAS Audio, who designed, managed and commissioned the new system, as well as Geovanni Ortiz, DAS-certified Rational Acoustic SMAART engineer. , which took care of the optimization of the loudspeakers. Guillermo “Willy” Rodriguez of Willy-Tech Services, who is a Certified Installation Manager for E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio, discussed the project.

“The Brick is an outdoor nightclub, so it was very important to deploy a sound system that could withstand the weather conditions here in Miami, which can change at any time,” Rodriguez explained. “To solve this problem, we installed a weatherproof E11EVEN Sound system on site. E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio is the best club system on the market, and it includes the best warranty for customers, all at very competitive prices.

The Brick’s setup features 12 weatherproof ES-26 Passive Point Source speakers, which incorporate twin 6-inch transducers, a DAS Audio M-34 compression driver, and include threaded mounting points for wall brackets that can adapt to horizontal or vertical positioning. These were complemented by eight ES-212 Passive Point Source speakers. These 2-way long-throw speaker systems feature two 12-inch horn-loaded low-frequency transducers coupled to a DAS M-78N neodymium compression driver.

Two speaker systems from other DAS Audio product groups complete the system. First, the setup features eight DAS Audio OVI-12 speakers, which include a 12-inch coaxial transducer coupled to a 1-inch compression driver. Second, the setup features two passive Artec-308 2-way full-range speakers, which use an 8-inch low-frequency transducer coupled to the company’s M-26 compression driver.

“For audio processing, John [Fiorito] specified two E11EVEN Sound ESP-260 DSP’s” reports Rodriguez. “With two inputs and six outputs, this processor offers great flexibility. It has all the necessary features that make my job easier and the installation is much better.

Power amplification for the Brick installation included an EP-6K4 four-channel amplifier delivering 1200 watts per channel at four ohms, and two EP-10K4 four-channel high-power amplifiers delivering 2100 watts per channel at four ohms, all two taken from DAS Audio’s E11EVEN power amplifier series. Additionally, a single DAS Audio D-100 four-channel amplifier was deployed for the project.

As is the case with many sophisticated installations involving electronic equipment, questions periodically arise. Therefore, competent and responsive support services are essential. In this regard, Rodriguez was very complimentary of DAS Audio. “It’s great to work with the DAS team,” Rodriguez said. “John Fiorito is very actively involved in the company’s E11EVEN Sound projects, so it’s easy for me to get the information I’m looking for. The company always gets back to me quickly, which makes it much easier to stay on schedule for a project. »

The installation of the new E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio system took place in June 2022 and the system went live shortly thereafter. Since then, the new system has been received with great enthusiasm by both management and customers. “All of us at The Brick are extremely pleased with the new DAS audio system,” says Gregory Blanco, Club Manager at The Brick. “The system sounds great and delivers all the power we were hoping for. John and his team were always actively involved in the project and clearly explained everything we asked of them. Likewise, Willy Rodriguez did a great job with the installation. We couldn’t be happier!
