The same officer says TSA officers became suspicious after seeing his luggage pass through scanners at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Officers found a piece of a karaoke machine in one bag and the karaoke machine speaker in the other. Both rooms of the karaoke machine were opened and nine handguns were found inside, along with two lower AR / M-4 units. Each of them was wrapped in aluminum foil, which he told officers he did to avoid detection.

Winne learned that an AR / M-4 lower unit usually refers to the receiver part of an AR-15, a semi-automatic rifle.

Sources told Winne that The Man was traveling with a Delta employee, who is a close relative, when he was arrested.

Agent HSI’s report goes on to say that Delta Security and the Atlanta Police Force asked The Man to voluntarily come to their office, where he was greeted by two special agents from the ATF.

The man allegedly confessed to the agents that he took the firearms to Saint-Martin to resell them at a profit. He said he bought them in the trunk of a car in Newnan.

He did not put the guns barrels in his luggage because the supplier told him it would make their export illegal.

The HSI agent’s report also indicates that The Man knew that the export of the firearms was illegal.

A Delta spokesperson released a statement saying the employee in question had been suspended pending an investigation. Their statement also said, “Delta is aware of the incident and we are cooperating with law enforcement and TSA officials.”

Winne has contacted a lawyer representing The Man for a statement, but has not received a response.
