Michael and Carol celebrated with their friends 35 years together to one another. They renewed their vows under the Tent at the Seattle Yacht Club. They proudly displayed an American Flag that had flown over the US Capital that month. Michael was a huge Sinatra fan and the evening of dancing contained many of this hidden gems. Amy and her staff at the Seattle Yacht Club performed flawlessly as they continue to provide great service to it members. I always enjoying working with their staff and can’t wait to be apart of future events.
Laurie and Mel Wedding was performed by her father who also chose to walk her down the aisle. The wedding party was made up of six groomsmen and bridesmaids paired with different color shirts and dresses. Laurie mother was the one that contacted me to be apart of her daughters Wedding. The reception hall at the Renton Technical College had air conditioning on this 86 degree day that ended with a humid rain shower (very rare for Western WA). Mel’s daughter and friend sang a Leann Rimes song, Looking through your eyes to Laurie and her dad, which the guests loved.

This month’s Showcase is for The Plateau Club on the Sammamish Plateau. The Club is a hidden gem on the plateau making it somewhat available but quietly going about offering the best on eastside venues have to offer.
The food and beverage manager Kipp Johnson is a wonderful host for events at the Club. His attention to detail and ability to calmly check in to make sure everything is going great seems to come natural for him. Holly Martinez the event coordinator is a perfect teammate for Kipp as she make sure everything is scheduled properly and details taken care of properly.
Shane and Chantel were married outdoors at the Sanders Mansion on Spring Hill. Robert Miller has done a great job in developing this farm for ceremonies and receptions. With upper and lower tent areas that can accomodate 200 guests at each location, you can choose what background you want for your Wedding. The weather was great for the ceremony but by the time the reception started it was raining and thundering. During the dinner, a loud crack of thunder just a few hundred yards away had guests awake in their seats. Following that awakening, the thunder died down as the party picked up under the lower tent. Christie’s Catering served up a wonderful meal and the drinks for the evening. Shane and Chantel departed on their way to Las Vegas for the week!!!
July 11, 2009 Michael and Jessica were married at her parents home on the lake and their reception was held at The Plateau Club in Sammamish. Their Wedding setting was the back yard overlooking the lake on a beautiful day. Following the departure of the bride and groom on a boat, guests were invited to Plateau Club for their celebration. I always enjoying working with Kipp Johnson and Holly Martinez at club as their compliment each other as they pull off some of the most wonderful receptions. The club seems to be a hidden gem on the plateau for receptions.
I celebrated Independence Day with Julie and Jed on their Wedding Day while enjoying the sights and sounds of the fireworks around the Seattle. We were able to see fireworks in Renton, Bellevue and Seattle from the top of Newcastle. The Golf Club at Newcastle always provides one the most enjoyable views of the area. Michelle Moore, the photographer will have great photos for the evening.
